Driving Time from Six Flags New England to NYC?

We are coming from Queens, NY to Mystic,CT for one night in June. The following day, we want to drive from Mystic to Six Flags NE and from Six Flags back home. Maqpquest says it%26#39;s 1 1/2 hrs from Mystic to Six Flags and 2 1/2 hours from Six Flags to NYC. I would like to know if these times are correct. I will be going and coming after rush-hour traffic...

OMG - if you can get from Agawam to NYC in 2.5 hours sign me up! The fastest I%26#39;ve ever been able to get to the city from Springfield (right next door) is 3 hours 45 minutes. Others may chime in, but I don%26#39;t think 2.5 hours is in the realm of reality.

The main 2 highways are 120 miles total - besides that it seems like it shouldn%26#39;t take too long. I just checked again and Mapquest said 2 hr 40 min, and Mapquest usually allows too much time with no traffic.

Merge onto I-91 S toward LONGMEADOW/HARTFORD CT (Crossing into CONNECTICUT). 61.9 miles

Merge onto I-95 S via the exit on the LEFT (Portions toll) (Crossing into NEW YORK). 60.0 miles

Can anyone else confirm how long it will take? If it really takes 3 hrs 45 minutes I don%26#39;t think I would go...

also, in what universe is there no traffic going into the city?

I figure if I leave arouns 8-9PM on a Monday night, traffic should be minimal
