Hi,
Anybody has a review apart from Tripadvisors%26#39; of Herbst House and its location?
It is at Appleton Street
Boston, Massachusetts 02116
Or any hotel or b%26amp;b around 150-200$ well located to best spots in Boston? Which is the best option Center, South, East Boston ?
Thanks
review Herbst House or hotel around 180-200$ well located?Hi,
I don%26#39;t know personally about that B%26amp;B, but it%26#39;s in an excellent location. The other ones in the South End that I know about are the Clarendon Square Inn, and the Encore. I%26#39;ve had friends stay at both, and they raved about both places. They also get great reviews here on TA.
As far as locations, it%26#39;s good to get your terms correct. There is no such thing as ';Center Boston';. South Boston is a neighborhood outside of the downtown area and not a tourist area at all. East Boston is on the other side of Boston Harbor from downtown Boston and not a convenient or desirable tourist location.
The neighborhoods you should look for are Back Bay/Copley Sq., South End (different from South Boston), Downtown, North End. The Waterfront is also a neighborhood you hear about, but it encompasses some good areas near Quincy Market, as well as out of the way places near the Boston Convention Center. So, the InterContinental, the Marriot Long Wharf, the Boston Harbor Hotels are ';good'; Waterfront locations. The Westin Waterfront and the Seaport hotels are not so great for tourists...unless you get a fantastic deal on the room rate.
