I%26#39;m a bit concerned with the lodging reviews in Cape Cod, most of the places sound dingy and worn. Can anyone recommend a place that is not only family-friendly but consistently clean with no odors and a friendly staff? We would love to stay at Ocean Edge but at a rate of $400/night with some reviewers saying it is not all it%26#39;s boasted to be, I%26#39;m hesitant. Please help!
CLEAN, Spacious and Family-Friendly Lodging Suggestions?
Most places seem dingy and worn? Geez... Cape Cod is 100 miles long. I%26#39;m sure there are many places that will suit your refined tastes. Or perhaps, you might try somewhere ';more refined';.
Seriously, call some chamber of commerces and talk to them. I%26#39;m sure they will find something you like.

Or, perhaps you can try renting a house, more cost effective IMO.

I recommend the Tern Inn in West Harwich and have posted a review and photos here on Tripadvisor. Their website is www.theterninn.com.
I%26#39;m not intimately familiar with the entire Cape ... but I don%26#39;t think there%26#39;s a lot of ';kids%26#39; club'; stuff around here ... I don%26#39;t recall seeing lots of ads those sorts of resorts on the Cape.
OOOPS --- I responded to the wrong post ... you aren%26#39;t the person looking for family friendly ... sorry.
Unfortunately, nearly every high end resort on Cape Cod has bad reviews sprinkled in with good ones. Expectations are high when your paying top dollar and it becomes easy to nitpick. Going to a lower end place like CapeWind Resort in Falmouth usually ends up being a good choice. The staff is awesome, the grounds are beautiful and the bike path and beaches are nearby. The rooms are clean, cheap and ordinary. They are on an inlet with paddle boats. The property also has an inground pool. Main Street in Falmouth is an excellent area for strolling around. Plenty of shops and restaurants. There%26#39;s an arcade spot for the kids on Main street as well. Woods Hole is very close by for a ferry trip to Marthas Vineyard if you want to go. Maybe you should consider a good solid place like that instead of the top dollar resorts. Knowing you didn%26#39;t have to pay a fortune for a good time usually results in a great vacation.
I guess we need to ask - when you travel to other destinations do you stay at Four Seasons, Ritz or Maybe more mid priced like Hyatt Westin and then the more moderate priced Hol Inn etc - then we can steer you in the right direction of which price range and then ....... something to fit your specified criteria
