Rain Out at Fenway?

I have tix to the Wed. night game. Right now, the forecast is 30% chance of PM showers. How easily do the Sox cancel games because of rain? I am nervous because I was in Atlanta a couple of years ago for a game that got canceled in a shower that any little league team would have played through.

Rain Out at Fenway?

If anything, the Red Sox won%26#39;t cancel a game unless it%26#39;s Noah%26#39;s Ark-like conditions.

Since all Red Sox games are a sell-out, they lose big money if they can%26#39;t find a date for rescheduling, so they do everything they possibly can to get the game in.

Now that they%26#39;ve fixed the drainage issues on the field, like the previous poster said they almost never cancel a game. Previously the field would flood very easily and even sometimes flooding into the dugout, clubhouse, etc. and so games had to be called. Keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks for the reassurances. We are excited to be able to come see the Sox at Fenway. We saw them play the Braves in Atlanta, but it%26#39;s not the same.

They try very hard not to cancel. Be aware that that could mean a very very very long rain delay. (Can you tell I have experienced this?) So be prepared. Best advice I can give is hold off going in to the park if it is pouring because once you are in there you can not exit and re-enter.

They do not cancel easily, instead they will have long rain delays. I hate to be cynical, but they get the fans to the park, and hold them bored and captive with little to do but spend money on beer and food. It the game does end up canceled, they get to do and spend all over again.
