Passing through Boston for one night and trying not to break the bank on the hotel. I haven%26#39;t been to Boston in years, but, this hotel seems like it is in a decent location to easily walk around, etc. Please advise. Thanks!
Doubletree Downtown
It%26#39;s in a so so location. It%26#39;s right across the street from a major hospital and the ambulances have been known to keep some travelers awake at night. There is a T stop right outside the hotel for moving about the city rather easily. It%26#39;s in the heart of the Theatre District and Chinatown about 2 or 3 blocks from the Common. It should do you fine for a 1 night stay.

Hi,
It%26#39;s fine for one night. As mentioned, it%26#39;s near the T, in the Theater District, so it can get a bit noisy late at night when the bars let out. But I doubt that would bother you too much in your hotel room at night.
I stayed there one night a couple years ago. Rooms were nicely appointed, and they gave us delicious hot chocolate chip cookies at check-in.
I was concerned there may be ambulance noise from the hospital, but we didn%26#39;t hear the first siren till we were fully awake so it wasn%26#39;t a bother. But I could see how it could be a pain under certain circumstances.
Not the greatest area to walk around. But grab the nearby T (subway) and the city is your oyster.
In all, as others said, fine for a one night stay.
Thank you! Club Quarters was also a hotel in our price range..is this location any better?
Better location and more quiet.
Better location and more quiet.
Club Quarters would be better. It%26#39;s a short walk to Fanueil Hall Marketplace and also easily walkable to the North End if your craving a really good italian dinner. The hotel is located in the Financial District, so like Alan said, it gets quiet there at night when everyone goes home from work.
