You can canoe/kayak on the Concord River and then, as was suggested, go to beautiful Walden to swim (or White%26#39;s Pond, if you have a Concord connection with a pass).

May is a nice time to take a walk in the Woods at Walden Pond, nice spring time weather and less crowds to enjoy the quietness and beauty of Walden Pond, but both water temperature and air temperature will be too cold to swim anywhere outside in May!

Either enjoy the nice walks, hikes, kayaking or canoeing in rental boats, all in May, or come in summer when you can swim in Walden Pond or you could still enjoy the hikes, walks %26amp; kayaking on the Concord or Assabet, and visit the Cape for ocean beaches!
