Visiting Boston to check out Universities
Hello,
First, Boston%26#39;s subway system. It has 4 colors for the different routes it serves. Green Line, Red Line, Orange Line and Blue Line.
Since you will be staying in Copley Square, your subway stop for the hotel will be Copley. You will always use Copley when you leave or return to your hotel. It is the Green Line.
For Boston University, take green line outbound ';B'; train to Boston University stop. You can even walk to BU if you so choose. It%26#39;s about a 10-15 minute walk.
For Babson College, take green line outbound ';D'; train to Woodland stop. From Woodland stop you will need a taxi for the last couple of miles to the school.
For M.I.T., take green line inbound to Park Street stop. Transfer to red line outbound to Kendall/M.I.T. stop.
For Harvard, same thing as M.I.T. except go two stops further on red line which is the Harvard stop.
For Bentley and Brown, you will not use the subway system. You will use what we call the Commuter Rail.
It%26#39;s also a train but services areas further away from Boston.
For Bentley, you will take the green line to North Station. At North Station you will get a commuter rail train to Waltham. It%26#39;s called the ';Fitchburg'; Line. Take fitchburg line to Waltham stop and then a taxi a mile or so to Bentley.
For Brown, take green line subway to Park St stop. Take red line to South Station. From South Station, take a commuter rail ';Providence/Stoughton'; Line train to Providence. At Providence Station you will take a taxi cab two miles to Brown University. You can also take the Amtrak train from South Station to Providence as well. It%26#39;s a little bit faster and more expensive.
When coming back to your hotel, just reverse the directions to make it back to Copley. Here%26#39;s the website for both the subway and commuter rail trains.

Visiting Boston to check out Universities
Hello Will.
Greetings from Dubai.
Thank you very much for replying to our mail .
The advice you have given will be very useful to us.
cheers...
Those are great directions that Will gave for public transportation. BU, MIT and Harvard are all very easy to reach via subway. Babson, Brown and Bentley require use of the commuter rail which can be somewhat inconvenient because they do not run as often as the subway and as you can see, may require taking a taxi. You may want to consider renting a car for visits to those schools.
