Places to eat near Seaport World Trade Center

Hello. I%26#39;m attending the American Craft Beer Festival at the Seaport World Trade Center on 6/21. I%26#39;ll be attending the 1:00 till 4:30 session, so I%26#39;ll be leaving around dinner time. What are some good places to eat around there?

My father recommended No-Name, and I saw some OK things on TripAdvisor about it, but I%26#39;ve also read some bad things. My father also went there over 20 years ago.

We%26#39;ll eat seafood, but we%26#39;re up for whatever may be in that area and open on a Saturday night. We%26#39;d prefer something that isn%26#39;t too touristy, if there is anything around those parts.

Thank you!

You might consider Legal Seafoods Test Kitchen which is on Northern Ave. www.ltkbarandkitchen.com for more info. The Daily Catch at the Federal Courthouse on Northern Ave is another option. Salvatore%26#39;s is another newer adition to that part of Northern Ave. that is pretty good.

Hi,

The Yankee Lobster fish market on Northern Avenue is close by the World Trade Center. It%26#39;s basically a fish market that also sells meals to go. There is some counter space to eat there, but most people take the food and find a nice place to sit by the water and eat. If the weather is nice that day, it could be a good option. The food is as fresh as can be, and delicious.

The only issue is that they are only open until 6pm. But, if you are getting out at 4:30, you could still get there for an early dinner.

Regarding No Name, personally I love the place. I usually eat there whenever I am attending a concert at the BOA Pavillion. However, it%26#39;s a love it or hate it type of place, so I am hesitant to recommend it to others. But, if you do go, stick with the fried food (I think it%26#39;s better than the broiled dishes), or get a boiled lobster. Also, their fish chowder is outstanding, but it%26#39;s different from the usual thickened clam chowder. They have nice home-baked pies for dessert too.

Don%26#39;t expect fine dining...it%26#39;s paper cups and paper placemats, and the food comes out FAST...you can be in and out in 45 minutes.

OOPS...

I meant to include the url for Yankee:

The LTK is definitely a good choice and for a great view you could always go to Anthony%26#39;s Pier 4... yeah it%26#39;s touristy, but the view is great. There is also a Morton%26#39;s in the Seaport area and if you want a local place just go down L Street to Kelly%26#39;s.....

I stayed at the Seaport a couple of weeks ago and the walking options are fairly limited. I ended up at the No Name and thought it was pretty good, its certainly a no frills atmosphere, so don%26#39;t expect fancy china and you%26#39;ll be fine. The Legal Test Kitchen looked great as did the Mortons, there is also a restaraunt in the Hotel called Aura, but I didn%26#39;t try it. I suppose you could walk the other way to the Barking Crab and Anthony%26#39;s Fish pier as well...

Yankee Lobster is open until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Sat. and 7 the other days except Sunday, which is 5:00 p.m. I stopped by last last night and got the chowder to go. Totally awesome. There is outside seating.

If you are looking to sit outside, Salvatores would be a better choice than Legal%26#39;s Test K. Legal%26#39;s is at a stop light which seems to never change. The cars back up and the smell of fumes and noise from the trucks is pretty bad.

Morton%26#39;s has some really good early bird appetizer specials. This will be very busy on a Saturday night.

Pier 4 has a great view and I would not hesitate to go here. The wait staff are veterans and very good at making sure things go well.

I think I%26#39;m sold on Yankee Lobster Company.

That sounds right up my alley and it gets pretty good reviews all over the internet.

I%26#39;m looking forward to some chowder, steamers and maybe a lobster! :)

I%26#39;m ready to pig out!

I believe you can still get the twin lobsters at Yankee for around $35.

Hi Will: Yea. I glanced at the prices for the TwinLobsters, they seemed to be reasonable compared to what else it out there. I think you are right on with $35.00.

Salvatores - upscale italian

LTK - seafood with a twist

Mortons - steak steak steak

Aura - Newly renovated and new chef

and the Renassaince restaurant are super close

If you are looking for some things a little further of a walk you have

hip spot called Persephone

lucky%26#39;s lounge is a fun hidden bar/restaurant (not sure about the food but the drinks are good and fun atmosphere)

Or you can even take a water taxi for a view of the city and head over to sel de la terre by the Aquarium for french bistro.
