Could someone tell me which T stop is closest to the Brewery? We%26#39;re staying at the Westin Waterfront and will be closest to the Silver line so any navigation tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Sam Adams Brewey T Stop?
From South Station you%26#39;d take the Red line one stop and switch over to the Orange Line at Downtown Crossing. Then follow the directions from their website: Public Transportation
Take the Orange Line subway ';T'; outbound towards Forest Hills. Exit at the Stony Brook stop. Above ground, take a left onto Boylston Street and go straight. At the first set of lights, take a right onto Amory Street. Take your first left on Porter Street and look for the ';Samuel Adams'; signs.
Sam Adams Brewey T Stop?
While I enjoy their beers at Sam Adams, I don%26#39;t enjoy their tours, or the gritty location of their brewery.
So here%26#39;s an alternative: Harpoon Brewery on the South Boston waterfront. It%26#39;s a short walk from your hotel. Just take a right out of the hotel and take a left onto D Street. At the end of D Street, take a right onto Northern Ave. The brewery is located at 360 Northern Ave. They offer tours every day except Monday, and they have a nice heavy hand when pouring a sample. Visit www.harpoonbrewery.com.
Great suggestion!
The Sam Adams brewery is kind of a pain in the butt to get to. Harpoon is a great alternative. It%26#39;s not a brewery tour, although you do have access to the brewery platform to get a nice view of the operations. It%26#39;s a ';tasting'; as they call it. And taste you will! They will tell you all about their dozen or so beers, and you will taste them all. The beer is super fresh. If you still want more beer, you can purchase one of their Growlers. It%26#39;s a souvenir mug [64 ounces]that they fill with the beer of your choice. Be careful though, between the tastings and growler, you WILL be walking sideways out of the place. Oh, and the tastings are free! The growler costs around $10
Thanks everyone for your suggestions! The Sam Adams tour will definitely be out of the way so thanks for the alternative!!
Is the Sam Adams Brewery an extremely large corporate brewery, or is it still a small brewery? (I know their stuff has been mass-produced for years now, just wondering what the brewery itself is like)
Is there a tasting room?
For overall aesthetics, would you choose Harpoon or Sam Adams Brewery?
I%26#39;m a big-time beer drinker and know I would enjoy Harpoon, however Sam Adams has always made quality and I%26#39;ll have my wife with me, who isn%26#39;t as much of a beer snob.
Thanks for the suggestion of Harpoon Brewery/
We will probably do that one also, during our visit.
Yet another forum suggestion to save to my Boston Folder. Thanks again

Chemmie,
The Sam Adam%26#39;s Brewery in Boston is still small. Nothing%26#39;s changed with the building since it was their only brewery. It%26#39;s used more for R%26amp;D brewing nowadays since they have bigger breweries in Pennsylvania that does the mass producing. It does have free tastings at the end of the tour. The tour is more about the history of beer making than actually watching it be made. It%26#39;s interesting for a beer lover to listen to the lectures, but I think your wife would be bored stiff. The brewery tour includes a tour of the Boston Beer Museum as well.
Harpoon is not a brewery tour since it%26#39;s too small to walk around in. The beer is being brewed there, and you stand on a platform to watch. Most people go for the beer tasting! You are bound to find a few Brits in there during any given tasting. They always seem to find where the good, free beer is, lol.
