My husband and I will be in Boston for two nights at the end of August, prior to leaving for Europe. We will be staying at Nine Zero and need advice about transportion options to and from the hotel and the airport, as we will not have a car.
Best way to get to Nine Zero from Airport
Nine Zero is super easy, either by taxi or by public transpo. Given that you%26#39;re leaving for Europe and probably have luggage, take a cab. The hotel has a doorman who will hail you one right out front.
I would assume your flight is leaving in the 8:00 - 10:00 PM range, so you%26#39;ll need to be in a cab around 2 hours prior to your departure. Terminal E is the International Departures terminal. From Nine Zero the transit time, barring a tunnel backup, will be about 15 minutes.
If you%26#39;re going light and want to take the T, walk 1 1/2 blocks to the Park Street T station and hop on a Government Center-bound Green Line train. Transfer to the Blue Line and go 5 stops to the Airport Station. When you get off the train, proceed forward through the turnstiles where you will see a bank of screens with flight and gate info. Shuttles will whisk you to the appropriate terminal and there you are! it should%26#39;nt take you longer than 30 min to do this.
Bon Voyage!

You would certainly take a cab for that (unless the hotel has a shuttle, but I have no idea - in any case the hotel is not so close that cabs will refuse to take you - which has happened to me in Honolulu, but not so far that it%26#39;s prohibitively expensive).
I want to correct something Beansandcod said: there is no ';international departures terminal'; at Logan - your departure terminal depends on which airline you are flying. Most international flights do leave Terminal E but that is only because it is the international arrivals terminal. If you are flying American Airlines, for example, you leave from Terminal B.
Thanks, Thomas, for the info. I tend to think of it as the international terminal regardless of inbound or outbound flights. True, AA does leave from Terminal B for its flights, and Northwest from Terminal E. Best to check the ticket for applicable airline codeshare info. That will determine which terminal.
Cabs in Boston cannot refuse a fare. I think the only loophole is; if they have been working more than a 12 hour shift and are ending soon.
After American Airlines, I cannot think of any international ailines which don%26#39;t fly out of E.
