My husband and I will be visiting in a few weeks and I want to get a better sense of all the different towns on the cape. I was wondering which towns have a %26#39;downtown%26#39; or walkable main street? I know Provincetown and Chatham do, but not sure but any others. Thanks for your help. We can%26#39;t wait to come visit!
Which towns have walkable main streets?
Hyannis, Falmouth and Provincetown are the largest towns and have the largest walkable Downtowns.

Orleans, too, has a small ';downtown';, including the LandHo, the locals%26#39; winter hangout.
Harwich Port is another one.
As you can see from my handle, Mainstreetman, I am somewhat of an expert on Main Streets, having been a leader in renovating Falmouth%26#39;s a number of years ago.
Falmouth, and Chatham have New England traditional Main Streets, i.e. a pedestrian friendly shopping area with residences within 100 yards of the shopping area. They are filled with eclectic boutiques and various restaurant choices. Others that you may visit are Orleans and P-Town. Sandwich has a few nice shops and cafes along a very short street. It is worth a short visit. You may also consider Osterville, Hyannis and Onset, although many folks will say that Onset is not on Cape Cod. We hope that Buzzards Bay will join the list of walkable Main Streets , but we are waiting to see what renovations they come up with.
So, in conclusion, you MUST visit Falmouth to see the finest Main Street on Cape Cod!
Wellfleet has a small town center with lots of galleries and the Winslow Tavern. You can also walk to the pier...but it%26#39;s a long walk.
