We will wake up in West Yarmouth and our flight leaves from Logan at 5 PM. What is the real time (with traffic) that it will take us to drive? We are considering doing Plimouth Plantation that day. How much time should we allow for that and Mayflower II? It will be a Wednesday in June.
Thanks
Real drive time and how long at Plimouth Plantation? To be on the safe side, I%26#39;d leave well over an hour to get to Logan from Plymouth. It should probably be just about hour, but one traffic tieup and you could miss your plane, so...I would tend to leave extra time.
[I mapquested it and it says it%26#39;s 51 minutes from Plymouth to BOS. However, it takes the Logan Express buses from Braintree 30-45 minutes from Braintree to Logan.Braintree is a lot closer, so that 51 minutes might be under ideal circumstances.]
How long you need at logan depends on whether you%26#39;re checking bags. To be on the safe side, I%26#39;d leave the Cape as early as possible, maybe get breakfast on Plymouth Harbor, see the Mayflower and then do Plimouth Plantation and .. I%26#39;d be out of there leaving plenty of time. Don%26#39;t want to miss an evening plane.
Real drive time and how long at Plimouth Plantation? From West Yarmouth to Plymouth will also be about an hour, but I would plan on an hour and a half to account for traffic. Plymouth Plantation will take several hours (plan 2 or 2.5), the Mayflower II less than an hour. The drive back to Boston is then another hour if you%26#39;re planning on arriving at Logan at 3ish. After that, it becomes more trafficky and you might need an extra half hour.
