Where to rent canoes?

I%26#39;m trying to find out good places to rent a canoe on a lake/pond for beginners. Any ideas where to go?

I%26#39;m sorry I can%26#39;t be more specific off the top of my head, but there are canoe rental spots along the Sudbury and Assabet rivers within the Great Meadows conservation area. Googling should land you more details. Neither river is ';wild water,'; and some of the rental shops employ instructor/guides to take people out.

I know that you can rent canoes in Concord and travel on the river to '; the bridge';. I haven%26#39;t done it, but I know that they do it somewhere there. I signed on just so that i could tell you this.

There is a rental place for canoes and kayaks at Cochituate State Park on Route 30 in Framingham. Highly recommended.
