Red sox

We will be in Boston for 4 days in July and would love to go to a Red Sox game to soak up the atmosphere. It is an afternoon game when we are there, how long does a baseball game last? Is it worth buying ';standing'; tickets, to stay for an hour or two.? as in 4 days we want to try/see as much as we can

A typical baseball game will last between 2:30 and 3 hours. There have been many improvements to Fenway Park over the last several years making standing room more tolerable. With virtually every game sold out the price of seats from ticket brokers and scalpers is pretty high. They do release a limited number of tickets on the day of the game. You can check out www.bostonredsox.com for more information.

If you choose to wait at the ticket office on the day of the game in order to purchase same day tickets, arrive 2 - 3 hours before the ticket office opens and wait in the queue. Ticket office hours are posted on www.redsox.com

Not much of a baseball fan, eh? : ) Only want to stay for an hour? Instead of going to a game, I would suggest doing the tour of the park that is offered at Fenway. You get to see all of the park, and the tour guides are very knowledgeable.

Hi,

The Red Sox are hugely popular, and sold out for every game. There are usually tickets available before each game, as mentioned above. The tickets are pricey though...probably a minimum of $50 each. I am not sure about the standing room, but it%26#39;s probably expensive too.

Unless you want to drop $100 or so for an hour of standing around, I agree with the idea to take the tour and maybe go to the Game On! bar to watch some of the game.

Hi all. JUst a reminder to check out when these questions are posted. This is from 2006! With that said maybe calimerox could let us know if he/she did visit Fenway and what impressions he/she had.

I%26#39;m always curious how someone manages to dredge up a post from two years ago and then decides to respond to it.
