Trip report part1

Tuesday May 6

Had a good flight with BA from London.Arrived at 1pm and it took about 10 minutes to get through US customs-Yes really...

Taxi straight to Jurys hotel.Room was small but I had requested a room with a tub-Result.

Afternoon,walked across the common down to Faneuil Hall Marketplace and Quincy Market.Very similar to Covent Garden in London.Stopped for a drink,then shopped and wandered back to hotel via more shops.

Had soak in tub-Bliss.

Went out for dinner to The Atlantic Fish Co.-Excellent.

Wednesday May 7

Walked down to Prudential Centre and booked tickets for 10.30 Duck Tour then went across to Charleys for breakfast-So scrummy.

Duck tour was very good.Great Guide,informative and amusing.

Back to hotel for an hour then walked down Newbury Street into Best Buy and back down Boylstont to Pru Centre for some Ben and Jerrys for lunch-Yummy.

More shopping and wandering then stopped off at Flashs bar by the hotel for a couple of cocktails-Big mistake.

Went up to room for a snooze at 6pm.

Thursday May 8

Yes we slept and slept-All night and woke up VERY early this morning.Did this once in New York many moons ago so we are not new to this-Just tired and very hungry.

Went out and ended up in The Radisson for a perfectly fine breakfast.

Picked rental car up and drove to Wrentham Mall.Spent lots of money then hubby dragged me back to car and we carried on to Newport.

Checked into Attwater Villa B%26amp;B,which was very cute,then walked down to the waterside where we had lunch in the Black Pearl-Delicious.

Lots of walking around.Newport is very pretty and then back to hotel.Another long soak in tub.By dinner time we were still not hungry so ended up going for a couple of beers and then had fish and chips in a pub recommended to us by Sadie from the B%26amp;B.

Sleep

Will put the rest of report on tomorrowas this is getting a bit long.

How long of a walk is it from Jurys to Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market(seems yours may have been a leisurely one)? My husband and I will be staying there in just a few weeks...anxiously awaiting the trip!

Scrummy - would that maybe a combination of scrumtuous and yummy? If not, say that it is, it sounds good.

Seems like you%26#39;re having a great time and seeing some of the best the area has to offer.

We only had two cocktails each-honest,but they were pretty strong and we were very tired.Well thats my excuse.

The walk to Faneuil Hall took a leisurely 25-30 minutes.

Great report! Regular posters especially like to read people%26#39;s trip reports. It is so helpful to know if a place%26#39;s service has dropped off and we should stop recommending a place.

Annie if it is any consolation - only one cocktail will probably have the same effect on me.

I am so looking forward to my stay in Jury%26#39;s in July, I am excited in anticipation reading your report - I am looking forward to tomorrow.
