Is there a good place on the Cape for the kids to look for Sand Dollars?
Sand Dollars?
I remember getting them at South Beach in Chatham as a kid, tho someone may have more recent info!
Sand Dollars?
I%26#39;ve seen them long the Nat%26#39;l Seashore. Why not give the park rangers a call at the Salt Pond Visitor%26#39;s Center in Eastham and see what they say? (508) 255-3421
It%26#39;s been several years ago but the public beach in E Sandwich was covered with them. They were small, maybe 3 inches in diameter, But they held up well in the suitcase!
really? I have never seen them on east Sandwich. I assume you are talking about Sandy Neck Beach- which is really as rocky as can be!
I%26#39;ll check it out the next time I go fishing there.
At the beach in Plymouth Harbor there are thousands!! We do it every summer! Good luck and have fun!
I%26#39;ll have to double check with my wife, but I%26#39;m pretty sure that%26#39;s where the boys spent an hour picking up as many as they could. We stay at a place on the water just west of Sandy Neck and would have picked them up at low tide in front of the house. The beach there is extrememly rocky except at low tide when we walk around on the sand bar.
