One Day in Boston

My husband and I will be in Boston one day this weekend before driving up to Portland, ME. Any recommendations on the top things to do? Also any restaurant recommendations -nothing too fancy, just somewhere kind of fun. We%26#39;re staying in the Copley Square Area.

One Day in Boston

Top things to do: Duck Tour to acclimate to the city. Walk down Newbury Street (shopping) to Public Garden and Boston Common (people watching, swan boats) . Pick up part of Freedom Trail (history). Head to Faneuil Hall. Stop for lunch (shopping, people watching and more history). Follow trail to North End. Pick up pastry dessert there. Tons of restaurants to choose from whereever you turn.

One Day in Boston

Hi,

Since your staying around Copley Square, you could spend a whole day just walking around exploring the Back Bay area. Strolling around Boylston, Arlington, Berkeley, Clarendon, Dartmouth, Newbury streets along with Commonwealth Ave is very enjoyable on a nice day. There%26#39;s plenty of shops and restaurants around there too. The whole neighborhood is buzzing and very enjoyable. The Public Garden is located at Boylston and Arlington and is a treat to walk through or hop on a swanboat ride. Over on Huntington Ave or ';Avenue of the Arts'; is the beautiful Christian Science Park which is worth taking a look at. Right around the corner from there on Massachusetts Ave is the Mary Baker Eddy Library which has the beautiful and world famous Mapparium. You can take a Duck Tour from the Prudential Center or go up the Pru to the Skywalk Observatory. So, that%26#39;s one suggestion on spending a day without leaving the Back Bay neighborhood where you%26#39;ll be staying.
