How is cape cod in May, is it cold to visit it?

I would like to visit cape cod for memorial weekend, but not sure if the weather is warm to be on the beach. Someone with any suggestion?

Thanks

The forecast is for temperatures to be in 70%26#39;s in Boston, so probably a few degrees colder on the Cape. So warm enough to sit on the beach, BUT the ocean is NOT swimmable at this time of year. The water temperature is just too cold.

This is a good local weather site:

The report predicts low to upper 60%26#39;s (for highs)this weekend. Some rain on Friday...not a bad forecast for this time of year actually, but it isn%26#39;t summer yet!

Go and enjoy!! Chicago isn%26#39;t exactly the tropics ... you%26#39;ll be fine!

And for what it%26#39;s worth ... ';cold'; is a subjective thing. We were on the Cape last weekend and Saturday afternoon was sunny and clear w/ no wind ... mid-60s, maybe? My kids (11 and 9) went in the water. We were staying on 6A in N.Truro .. so we were on the bay side. They didn%26#39;t actually %26#39;swim%26#39; ... cuz it was too cold to stay in ;) Then some older teens at the same location went in and were in the water for a good 20 minutes or so ...
