Good sports bar to watch hockey?

I%26#39;ll be in the Boston are all next week.. Being a big hockey fan, I want to watch the Stanley cup finals. I%26#39;ll be in the Bedford area -- what is the best bar to go watch the game at? The less smokey, the better (since my wife is joining)..

Tough question! It might be a conflict of interest here, the Celtics are in the final four and that will be playing at most of the bars. I would try the Fours (Bobby Orr) near the TDNorth Garden if you go into the city but I will guess it will be all Celtics. You will then have to compete with Red Sox games at other bars, also. I have been to sport bars and requested the staff dedicate a screen for another sporting event while the Red Sox where playing and they usually will accommodate (if the place is not packed).

You can go to the 99%26#39;s Restaurant in Billerica, if you want a place close to where you are staying.

Your in deep doo-doo on this one. Just looking at the hockey/basketball schedules shows the Celtics playing at basically the same time as the Cup finals. This coming Saturday as well as next week on Monday and Wednesday. Next Saturday has the hockey game against a possible Lakers/Spurs game 6. I haven%26#39;t even considered that the Sox will be playing as well. Not good news for hockey fans in Boston next week. The bigger places in Boston like GameOn will probably have a TV or two showing the hockey, but your not going to be able to enjoy it with the place going nuts for the Celtics and Sox. Anywhere up in the Bedford area will have Celts and Sox. I doubt they will even bother dedicating a TV to the hockey games. Your best bet is to watch from your hotel or wherever your staying.
