Easy kayaking

I%26#39;ll be on the island soon, and wonder about renting kayaks. I%26#39;m not interested in anything hard or challenging. Probably we would want to rent them on one of the ponds. Where should I go? Are there any rentals in Edgartown Harbor, and is that relatively easy paddling? Thanks.

Easy kayaking

Island Spirit Kayak does a great job and has been doing it for a few years.

She has a trailer full of kayaks. Arrange to meet her and she%26#39;ll be waiting with the kayak in the water. Easy. I usually see them on the Oak Bluffs side of Sengekontacket, Beach Road.

Easy kayaking

There%26#39;s a great pond behind State Beach called Sengekontacket. The water is usually calm as long as it%26#39;s not too windy. There%26#39;s a nice island in the middle which is great for collecting shells. And if you%26#39;d like to go out into the Sound all you have to do is paddle right under one the the bridges. I believe that there%26#39;s a kayak place that will drop the boats off right there...I%26#39;m not sure what it%26#39;s called but I%26#39;m sure it would be easy to find out with a bit of research. Have fun!

Haha I should have read the previous post before writing my own! Sorry about that.

The harbor in Edgartown is really busy with motor and large sail boats constantly going through a mini 3 car ferry to chappequidick going back and forth so I would not suggest kayaking there.
