A-House

My husband and I are going to Ptown next weekend. I want to stop in at the A-house to have a drink or 2, since it is so historic and such a part of Provincetown. I know at night that it can be a crowded dance club, but can anyone tell me how it would be during the day? I would like to just relax and have a drink there for the experience.

Also - any recommendations for good bars? We wouldn%26#39;t be looking for a dance club, but more of a place with a fun but laid back bar scene. Jimmy%26#39;s Hideaway looked fun on their website...

Thanks in advance!

A-House

The Bloody Mary%26#39;s at the Old Colony are the best- It%26#39;s what an authentic fisherman%26#39;s hangout- rough around the edges, but friendly folks.

A-House

I probably shouldn%26#39;t answer this because I%26#39;m not much of a drinker, but I will anyway.

You might consider the following

-Squealing Pig on Commercial St.

-Jimmy%26#39;s Hideaway, I%26#39;ve heard very good things

-The Wine Bar at the Vixen

-Porchside Bar at the Gifford House

-The Monkey Bar on Commercial Street down on the West End

The A-House is not open during the day. At night it can be overwhelming since it does tend to get very packed and hot (but they have an outside patio). For cocktails during the day...you MUST try t-dance at The Boatslip from 3-7pm. The music is awesome, dancing and a large outside deck with nice breeze and ocean view and you get to see the FAMOUS Hat Sisters. Enjoy! :)

Another good spot to have a drink is the Crown %26amp; Anchor, huge porch facing Commerical Street to people watch; they also have a dance bar and outside pool area on the water. Have Fun!
