Finally, Trip report part 3

Sunday May 10

For the first time on our trip we woke up at a normal hour.My body seems to get accustomed to the time difference just when it is time to go home.I personally think that it is my body telling me not to go home.

Whilst I packed all our shopping goodies in yet another extra case that we bought my husband went and picked up another rental car.We had decided to rent for the day so that we could make our usual US pilgrimage to Bed,Bath and Beyond.

I did not know it was Mothers day in the US until we arrived and had wanted to go to The Langham for their Sunday brunch but by the time we phoned they were fully booked.

Instead we phoned Vlora and booked a table.Although downstairs from ground level Vlora was bright-it has a small terrace and floor to celing glass running down two sides to the terrace.

The restaurant was fresh and moderf and the staff were friendly. Our waiter was Bulgarian and we had a good chat about football as he supports my team-Liverpool.After a delicious breakfast we went over to BB%26amp;B.

A few hundred dollars lighter we left BB%26amp;B.I then had the usual wrestling match of taking all the packaging off the bedding etc. that we bought and putting it into cases that looked as if they could contain no more.I won.

We then decided to go to The Cheescake factory in the Prudential Centre because I was sure that there was a piece of cheescake there that had my name on it.Could not find any street parking so went into the parking garage at the Pru.I did look for signs before we went in to see what the price was but could not see any. When we left about 45 mins later it was $18.The two pieces of cheesacake cost less.

We sat outside the foodcourt and I tried my best to finish my cheescake.I gave it my best shot but could not finish it so it was 1-0 to the cake.I lost.

All this time I could hear the call of Sephora, strangely enough my husband couldnt.I think it is only audible to the female ear.So I sent husband off to the gadget shop, but he was not there long enough for my liking and the next thing I know he istrybig to steer me out of the shop, though not before I have made a few purchases. He lost.

After leaving the Pru Centre we drove down to The Fenway. It looks like such a good place to hang around, have a few beers and watch a game that husband made me promise that when we return to Boston if will only be if we can go to a game.Of course I said yes.He won.

from here we reluctantly made our way back to the airport, but not before getting a bit lost.We are never late for planes when we go on vacation because we always plan ';Getting Lost'; time into our itinerary. That way our usual arguments of which way to go arent too stressful and then it is a bonus if we actually get somewhere earlier than we thought!

Finally to all TA members thankyou so very much for all your info on this site.It made our trip so much richer and enjoyable and I now knoe some more bakeries in the North End!

Other notes.

Wear comfortablke shoes. This city is so walkable.

I was amazed to see that the city is so bright and airy. The lack of so many skyscrapers to what I was expecting was so refreshing and we could see the sky!

The weather played a major role in part of our trip but we just re-adjusted our plans and went with the flow.We planned not to plan too much if that makes sense!

For me having the internet in our room in Jurys was almost a necessity.I was consultimg the Boston forum constantly getting place names, phone numbers maps etc.

And finally for any tourists needing those extra bags/cases go to Marshalls,Filenes ot TJ Maxx and get some great bargains.

Finally, Trip report part 3

Thanks for your trip reports, they were very entertaining... We all win!

Finally, Trip report part 3

the trip report was worth the wait - and tears.

I will be in Jury%26#39;s in 60 days time - and of course will report back.

We had to stay up all night one Saturday night in January to secure tickets for Fenway Park. We booked our holiday around the dates of the game that we managed to secure (and they are standing room only)- but I am sure that it will be worth it.

Wonderful reporting all around! Thank you for your recap.

Thanks, again for your terrific reports. Please, do come back!
