I%26#39;m trying to find a place to stay on Nantucket for ONE night on Sept 20. We are going to a wedding, don%26#39;t want to stay for weekend. Any suggestions?
B%26amp;B for ONE Sat Nite in SeptMost of the smaller establishments will have some sort of minimum stay requirement until that last week when they will start to deal. The larger hotels will offer you a single Saturday at a premium. The Nantucket Inn has no minumum but they are a shuttle ride to town. If you are flexible and nerves of steel you should wait till the last minute say 10 days before your arrival and then call visitors%26#39; services at 508-228-0925 and ask about the ';one night availability list'; to check for cancellations and last minute openings.
B%26amp;B for ONE Sat Nite in SeptAs You noted I have found NO ONE (even the large establishments) will take one night. Most were quite rude in fact. Pretty discouraging. Doesn%26#39;t really make me want to even visit.....
Given the event is a wedding, doesn%26#39;t look like I can try for the nerves of steel route. Probably just be a day trip unfortunately.
Thanks for responding...
That is the nerves of steel play.... Come for the wedding plan to spend only one day ....call the info number I gave you and I bet you find a room for the one night. Think of it as an adventure, be opptimistic and pack a toothbrush.
Hmmmmm......
I was able to get a one night stay at the Nantucket Inn.
Stayed at the Inn before. Right near the airport, and they have their own free shuttle, independent of the island shuttle. I think the latest shuttle was 11pm, but not sure. Call them if you get in late and they may get the shuttle in for you. Basic inn, nothing special but they have tennis courts and a pool, and a small fitness center. Sept.20 is not prime season, so hope you got some sort of deal. Coffee, muffins, and fresh fruit in the a.m.
