My fiance and I are planning to stay in PTOWN a few days during our honeymoon and are looking for recomendations on lodging. We would like a water view, and a private deck/balcony would be an added bonus. We do not necessarily need to be in the center of town, quite and romantic is good! Suggestions...

There are only a couple of lodging places that are right on the water, some are across the street from the Bay and offer a water view.
I think I might suggest the Anchor Inn. It%26#39;s on the water side of Commercial Street and does have rooms with a balcony.
You may look at their web site at www.anchorinnbeachhouse.com
Another possibility might be the Aerie House. Their main house is on Bradford St, a little bit from the water, but they are up on the hill and have great views from their house. They also have the Aerie House Beach Club which is right on the water.

If you are looking for quiet, romantic and water view you might want to broaden your search a bit to include other outer cape towns. Depending on how close you to Provincetown you want to be, you can take a look at lodging from Eastham (30 minute drive) to Truro 10 minute drive). Here is a chamber of commerce site that should get you going: www.easthamchamber.com And one other: www.wellfleetchamber.com
My personal choice for quiet, romantic, ocean view would be the Nantucket cottage at the Fort Hill Bed and Breakfast in Eastham. www.forthillbedandbreakfast.com They are in the National Seashore...a rare find!
For something in Provincetown...how about the Red Inn? I have never stayed there but I seem to remember someone posting last year about nice rooms. They have a full service restaurant so I%26#39;m not sure how quiet and romantic it would be. But they have a fabulous location on the Bay in the west end of Provincetown. Certainly worth a dinner even if you do not stay there.
The Red Inn is very nice. Choose the ';Captains Quarters'; or ';Delft Haven'; for your room choice. These are large suites with full kitchen...both rooms share a deck and at high tide you feel as though you are ON the water. Also (not directly on the water but the views are amazing) Lands End Inn is very romantic. Most rooms have private balcony. Opt for the Tower Suite or the Library Room for the best views and most private decks.
Another place, rather expensive, near the Red Inn is Lands End Inn. www.landsendinn.com I stayed there a number of years ago and it is a unique experience.
