Hi Red Sox fans
My boyfriend and I are travelling down to Boston in July for the Red Sox-Yankees wknd!! :) We are very excited- my first game at Fenway. We have been checking StubHub for tickets and it looks like we will be in the bleacher section, which isnt all that bad- I%26#39;m sure the atmosphere and crowd will be lots of fun.
Question is this: on stubhub, it doesnt seem clear as to if the bleacher tickets are seat-based or just general admission?? There seems to be some bleachers were it is telling us that the seats are together or piggyback but other sections just say general admission...anyone have any insight here? Also, is there one bleacher section that is better than the others??
Thanks!
Fenway - bleacher seats...CDee,
Anything for sale with a G/A or SRO are considered standing room only. I am shocked by the prices for that series. Well, I%26#39;m not shocked but I still find it crazy. Any section in the bleachers is fine. It%26#39;s more the row than the section. I see some bleacher seats with row 45 or 47 for over $200 per ticket. Total madness, lol. I would just try and get two tickets together in the bleachers regardless of where they are.
Fenway - bleacher seats...Yes on Stubhub when it says GA or SRO it means you are in the park but with no seat. You stand through the game. The bleacher seats are in fact seats all of which are reserved.
With that particular series just be happy you made it in to the park. Harder tickets to get when NY is involved. (A
thanks - it defintely wasnt very clear on stubhub whether we were actually getting seats or if it was SRO. Good to know that general admission = standing.
We%26#39;re thinking that the Cask or Baseball Tavern seems to be people%26#39;s top choices for pre-game...agree?? And if the game is at 7pm, what time should we be there by?
Thanks!
Don%26#39;t forget about GameOn and Boston Beer Works, two more great spots for pre game activities. Regardless of which one you decide on, it will be packed! It may come down to which place you can get into the fastest. For a weekend Yanks series, I would go VERY early.
I would get there for about 5:30. This way you can soak up the atmosphere around Fenway for about an hour before you head to your seats. The place will be packed with people. Have fun!
Hey Will: One cannot still get into the main park from the beachers? Just want the poster to be aware of this silly construction. Have not thought about this in years, don%26#39;t know why it came to me now.
eileens - not sure if I understand your post but you can get to the bleachers from other parts of the park thanks to the fairly new giant concourse. I love to travel around prior to the start of a game to see all vantage points.
i would get there earlier than that ! I hit a few clubs outside the park first to get the blood going...Game On, Jillians, Who%26#39;s on First, Cask, Copperfields (should i go on) and then they close off Yawkey way 2 hours b4 game time and thats when you get to get the true ';buzz'; of what Fenways all about. hang around outside on yawkey and soak it all up, go inside and check out different areas...go back outside, but most of all enjoy. you can access whole park with bleacher tix (except of course Monster seats and a few other areas, but not restricted to bleachers...that went out years ago....)
Thanks Mahj: I have not been out in the bleachers in years. I guess think about the movie Fever Pitch had me confused. Love when she hanging off the wall.
eileens - I love that movie too! Oh if only I could experience the joy of dividing up season%26#39;s tickets. Alas, I spend my days in the virtual waiting room hoping to hit it big! (This year I did! Made it to Opening Day. Woohoo.)
