I%26#39;m trying to find a way to get to the Logan airport via train from Worcester, but it looks like there are several ways to do this and that not all trains come out as far as Worcester. I%26#39;m planning to travel on September 1 which is Labor day.
Thanks!
Getting from Worcester (WPI) to Logan airport via train
Hi,
From the airport, you can either take a cab or the Silver Line to South Station in Boston. At South Station, get your ticket for the Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail Train. Take train to Worcester%26#39;s Union Station. From Union, you can take a cab the last 1.5 miles to the school.
Cost of public transport is as follows:
Silver Line $2
Commuter Rail to Worcester: $7.75
Cab from airport to South Station (if you don%26#39;t take Silver Line) should run you about $15 (more convienent)
Cab from Union Station to school about $5-10.
Just be aware that public transit runs on a holiday schedule, so there%26#39;s only about 5 trains running the entire day/night. You might have to wait a while at South Station depending on when you arrive.

Oops, wrong direction, lol.
Just reverse directions given.
Daughter goes to Clark. One idea - instead of the train - take either Greyhound Bus or Peter Pan from Union Station. In looking at the website looks like you can go direct Worcester to Logan airport for $18.50. Travel time somewhere between 2 hours and 2 hours and 25 minutes.
Thank you for those suggestions, I%26#39;ll look into those possibilities.
Get directions at http://publicroutes.com for address in Worcester to Logan Airport. You can choose options and decide what%26#39;s best for you.
Thank you for the publicroutes website suggestion. I didn%26#39;t know about that resource. I was able to easily recreate the train plus subway route. When I tried to recreate the bus route it gave me this comment:
Start from 100 Institute Rd, Worcester, MA 01609 and reach Grove St. Since the distance to walk is about 29.99 mile(s) we recommend you call your Local Cab Service or drive to the station/destination.
Unfortunately, Peter Pan and Greyhound, being private companies, don%26#39;t appear to be included.
Nonetheless, this site is good to know about.
Thanks.
